Word Forty-Four: Two Roads

The vehicle slowed to a stop. She looked away from the fork in the road to glance down at the directions. These blasted directions confused her, took her on unnamed roads, and through towns that were so small it seemed there was a new zip code every few miles!

She looked up again, tears clouding her vision.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, soft sobs escaping her mouth as she reopened them.

Sounds of life and urgency broke her thoughts. Her body ached. Her arms reminded her of a new life.

Just what was she, this new mother, supposed to do now?
