Word Five: Seeking Solace

Filed under: 100 Themes Challenge — by britewordworm @ 11:16 am

A look. A glance. A sign that someone was paying attention to him, that someone actually cared. That was all he wanted. Now he found himself alone, walking through the dark woods. His feet dragged in muck, the wet and muddy leaves stuck to his beat up sneakers. A gust suddenly ripped through the trees, catching his attention. Looking up, he saw a light, and curiosity grew within him. Picking up his pace, he followed the light, until before him was a man holding out His arms. Warmth beamed from His gentle features, and the boy knew he was finally home.
